The Urushi Bicycle project (2013 - 2014)
The Urushi Bicycle project is a collaboration between Dutch designer Herman van Hulsteijn and artisan Sergej Kirilov, featuring 9 limited-edition, handmade stainless steel bikes. These bikes are renowned for being finished with traditional, labor - intensive Japanese Urushi lacquer and gold leaf.
