Mason We Craft Gallery, Singapore

Studio Lacquer Decor work shown at the newly opened Mason We Craft Gallery in Singapore, a space shaped by designers and architects with whom I share an ongoing creative dialogue. For the opening, only two artists were invited to present their work, and I was honoured to be one of them.

During the program, I offered a brief urushi demonstration to a group of family offices, opening a window into the material, the gesture, and the slow precision of the craft. The event unfolded in collaboration with KKR, bringing together design, craftsmanship, and international professional circles in an unexpected and thoughtful way.

The presentation featured a selection of urushi works where traditional Japanese lacquer meets contemporary form. In this private, invitation‑only setting, the pieces found their own quiet presence, creating space for focused conversations and adding another layer to the growing international path of my practice.
