Paris — Salon International Cultural Heritage Fair (2016)
In 2016, my work returned to the Salon International Cultural Heritage Fair in Paris — a place where European craftsmanship, tradition, and contemporary design meet under one roof. Our presentation brought together a series of urushi finishes and custom furniture pieces, each shaped through slow layers and precise gestures.
The fair offered a quiet stage to show how traditional Japanese lacquer can move into modern form. Visitors — designers, artisans, and clients — explored the surfaces up close, discovering the depth, texture, and possibilities that urushi brings to interior and furniture design.
It was a meaningful second year in Paris, adding another chapter to the evolving path of my studio’s work.
