Paris — Salon International Cultural Heritage Fair (2015)
In November 2015, Studio Lacquer Decor work was shown at the Salon International Cultural Heritage Fair at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. Within the curated Made in Europe group, my urushi finishes stood among artisans whose traditions reach back through centuries of European craftsmanship.
The presentation brought together heritage and modernity — French ateliers with royal histories alongside my own contemporary interpretation of Japanese urushi. In that setting, the pieces revealed their depth slowly: layered colour, quiet surfaces, and the dialogue between ancient technique and present‑day design.
It was a moment where tradition, innovation, and international craft met under one roof in Paris.
